So a new year is just around the corner!

Upon reflection 2008 wasn't a bad year for me. I survived year 11, got some pretty good grades but I lost/drifted away from many close mates. I'm not going to complain cause people have it so much tougher than "losing some mates."

I hope everyone had a great 2008 and has an even better 2009.
One full of laughter, excitement, happiness and good health :)
& of course the occasional pain, sadness and heartbreak.

Okay, so today I didn't have very plesant afternoon.
It first started off fine and dandily then it went down the crapper.

So I went shopping with mummah and then I started getting cramps; cause I got my period in the morning. The cramps were bareable so we continued shopping while I sat down at every chair I could find :P But after a while it became unbareable so we decided to head home. While we were walking to the car I got really really light headed, my vision became blurry, started sweating and I felt like I needed to puke! It was soo horrible :( So I sat down while mummah went to go buy fruit (haha wtf?). I kind of semi puked too; you know how you puke and a little bit comes out but it's not like full puke when it expells out of your mouth and then you swallow it back in, well that's what happened haha. Thank goodness I brought water cause it was a saviour! Mummah said I also went very very pale when she came back from buying her fruit :P

When we finally got home I collapsed on my bed and mummah rubbed this asian oil on my tummy :P Then I went to bed and woke up 1hr-ish later all better :D

I've never experienced blurred vision, light headedness, semi vomitting and sweating due to cramps before and i've had my period for like 4-5 years! It was quite weird&painful :( See this is why I hate being a girl, stupid stupid periods and to make matters worse it came a couple of days early!!! :( At least it's over now and I'm feeling much better.

&& I just want to say Happy Sweet 16th Birthday to Kavi!! I've known her for 11 years-ish from the days we were afternoon napping in pre primary to the days of doing chemistry/intro calc in high school. I'll really miss her next year :( Hehe; she also pointed out that she has to wait the wholee year to turn 16 and in two months time I turn 17 (cause I'm 10 months older than her)!!

So, I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Mine wasn't too shabby, could have been better and could have been worse. I remember last year I spent Christmas alone cause my parents and brother had to go to work, that wasn't a very fun day. This time round we had a family friend get together at our place but my brother still had to work.

Havianas my brother got me! I'll let you in on a little secret; I already knew he got them for me...I WASN'T SNOOPING AROUND OKAY! Here's the story; I went to use his laptop(which is in his room) so I twaddled in there and I saw these pink havianas in his wardrobe, they just caught my eye cause they're SO PINK!! Then one day I asked him what he got for his girlfriend for Christmas and he didn't say thongs, so I knew they were for me :P

Today brother bear took me shopping to get our parents Christmas presents; we got mummah a pot + herbs (thyme, oregano, basil, rosemary, chives and I can't remember the rest...) but we didn't get papa anything. So tomorrow I must get mummah to bring me shopping to get papa's + brother bears present; which means I must wake up early :(

I also set up the Christmas tree today, normally I set it up earlier but this year I was too lazy + wasn't intending to unless I brought presents!

Unlike most food critic articles in magazines this blog goes about analysing, critisizing and praising the food in a very casual and inviting manner, which makes me like reading the blog and it never fails to get my tastebuds tingling!
Another blog I read regularly is Karen Cheng's Snippets of Life. I really enjoy reading her blog because most of the blogs I read are written by teenage/early 20s chicks and it's very interesting to see the differences between a blog written by a teenager and a blog written by a young mother of two. I must say she seems like a very hip mother!

And last but not least, there is Gwen. Her blog was probably one of the first I had ever read! I have also met her once, to collect my bags I ordered from her blogshop; Aussie Import and she was very nice (:

Hi there! How are ya? For Christmas I would LOVE the Dell Insprion Mini 9 (Then again who wouldn't! As my mother likes to say "anything free is good!")

As I have said in the "comeback" section of my blog, next year will be one of the most important years in my life. It'll be the year I sit my TEE (Tertiary Entrance Exam) to get a TER (Tertiary Entrance Ranking) high enough to go to uni!

Last year I thought of a little strategy to help motivate and insipre me to study and I guess you could say it kind of worked because I passed year 11(with semi flying colours haha)!! So what's my little strategy? I would buy nice stationary (such as cute highlights + colourful books etc.)! And what better to motivate and insipre me than a brand spanking laptop! Not only will I be able to research/type up assignments and type up physics and chemistry writeups, I will be able to BLOG *and procrastinate(hey come on, I need breaks from studying or I might go crazy! :P)...!

When I stumbled out of bed this morning I got a nice little surpise. My report was on the kitchen bench, yeah yeah I know what you're thinking "how is a report a nice little surprise!". It was what was INSIDE the report...

Inside the report there was a nice little "B" sitting pretty as my english mark! It looked glorious, like it was smiling at me saying "good job Lillian!". Needless to say I had a huge smile on face!

I guess you're probably thinking why i'm so excited about getting a B and that I should be this excited about getting an A. The thing is my english teacher is one of the hardest markers in the WHOLE school, barely anyone gets an A in his class. So a B is the second best thing! In english all I hope for is a pass, cause if you fail english you can't graduate. But a B is loverly!

The rest of my report was quite good as well :) Definately an improvement from semester one! It's nice to know that I made progress! I know i'm not the sharpest tool in the shed (Mel takes that honour) but it's reassuring to know that my brain is pretty useful (:

Went to the beach today;
Got burnt on the back of my legs + a wee bit on the back + a bit on the front of my thighs + let's just say it's very patchy and the I have a bikini tan :( The burn at the back of my legs hurts the most, it just keeps on giving off heat doesn't it!! Time to put aloe vera on it + calamine lotion!!

awkward day.

Well, today was an awfully awkward/boring day.
I finally went out, I really feel like I'm not making the most of my holidays-I mean staying home on surfing the net and watching tv isn't exactly healthy or productive or fun! Anyway, back on topic! I went to the city with R+A and we were going to meet up with A's boyfriend...

So while we were eating lunch at (Edo Shiki; the place I mentioned in the karaoke post) A's boyfriend called to say he had arrived at the trainstation...So A went to meet him and bring him to the restaurant; boy was it weird when he came. The whole day had an element of weird and awkwardness to it! Like A + her bf wouldn't decide where to go so R and I just led them aimlessly around while they trailed behind being all lovey dovey; actually it was more like A's bf being lovey dovey and she was quite hostile to him :P A got quite pissy at her bf and he told me it was cause I was talking to him; I was only talking to him cause he wanted to buy A a present and I suggested a Pandora charm so we went to see the charms while she twaddled off. But she wasn't pissy at me (:

OH! I also brought a mate's present (a family friend, who's known me since I was born!) even though his birthday was sometime in November...It's like our tradition to give each other's presents like months after the actual birthday; this lovely tradition came about cause we're lazy! :) I got him a quicksilver belt, cause I got my brother a casual belt like ages ago and he uses it ALL the time, so it's quite handy!

All in all it was a weird/awkard day.

Tomorrow I'm planning to go to the beach, but mum won't let me! Saying it's going to be cold; hello its 26degrees with a SUN! And that I can't swim; wtf I can swim. But i'm gonna call her while she's at work and she can't say no :) If she does then i'll chuck another sad, which will be quite ghey cause we've been on good terms and I like us being on good terms; but if she's going to be an unreasonable mother then I will be a bratty child :)

I had a GREAT day today (:
Take away the annoying Fatbaloney deputy principal and it would have been FANTABULOUS.

I started the day by heading back to school to get my exam results!! All in all they were okay.

English-54% (Same as Mel WOO! I'm just happy with passes in english :P)
Political and Legal - 71% (Yay! Highest in the class with 1 hour of cramming :D)
Chemistry-62% (HOLEY F UCKING SHIZEN COW, I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS!)
Physics-65.5% (I bet Mel by 2 marks; okay, this is the proudest moment of my life! haha.)
Economics-57% (Yes, i fucked it soo badly; cause I did my supply and demand curves the wrong way! SO SO SO STUPID :( But I still got a B for my overall grade :D)
Intro Calc-Haven't gotten it back yet, because the teacher was awayy :(

When we got to school we decided to pop into the office and ask for visitor badges seeing as we weren't offically there as students and because we had Amy with us who wasn't a student. But Fatbaloney was like "Blah blah blah, you can't, you must get the office ladies to ring up the teachers and make them come up here blah blah blah cause I can't have outsiders running around the school."

Okay, first of all; we ain't outsiders. Secondly we are still students of the school and all the teachers know where not "outsiders" What a stupid Fatbaloney.

It was kinda funny/awkward cause while walking out Fatbaloneys office we saw our Physics teacher walking in the corridor so we asked if we could get out result and he's like "sure come by my class in 10 minutes" which totally went against what Fatbaloney said! Haha. We didn't listen to Fatbaloney anyway so we pretty much just went walking around looking for our teachers :) And ALL of them were happy to leave their class to talk to us and give us our results. So BLEH to you Fatbaloney.

I kinda feel bad for not telling any teachers that I'm moving schools next year; cause my Physics teacher was like "see you guys next year!" and I was like :S then my Econs teacher was like "you can improve next year! :)" and I was like :S I just realized how much i'll miss them :( Over the past year they've been such great teachers, so supportive and helpful and would pretty much drop everything to help us! I'm really gonna miss them :(

Anyway; moving on from the greatness of my former high school teachers. And moving onto the greatness of my former primary school teachers!! After getting our exam results we bussed it to our primary school! On the bus we saw one of our primary school friends; Adrian!! Man I haven't seen him since we left primary school, he looked soo different and soo tall!! Twas good to catch up with him; and when I got home he added me on myspace (:

Man, primary school was so different yet so the same! Many new teachers, but many of the old favourites!! We had a fine dandy chat with the ladies at the front office while we signed in as visitors, I'm surprised they remembered us! Then we trekked to our year 7 class and chatted to our year 7 teacher, he was like exactly the same; the same sense of humor the same face the same everything! And after that we pretty much just visited every other teacher that we knew! I'm really surprised that my year 6 teacher remembered me and didn't remember Mel, Kavii or Amy!! It brought back soo many memories; we'd see something and be like "oh my gosh do you remember that?!" or "oh my gosh; do you remember when ______"

After visitng everyone we went back to see our year 7 teacher and he kept us for slave labour! I kid i kid, the class was doing art stuff so we help (: Then when there was nothing for us to do we decided to do our own art and made SH out of blocks (cause its the initials of our year 7 teacher) but the S kept breaking and falling apart :(

Today was such a reminiscent day! It's hard to believe that I've grown up so fast (not in the height sense! haha) Soon i'll have finished year 12 and going in to the *dramatic music* REAL WORLD! :O School is such an important institution; you know you never really appreciate it till you've left it (well i've nearly left! I've left for the year :P) I really miss primary school and my old high school;

Okay; enough of the mushy mushy "i love school" stuff (secretly i dooo :P) but its just so "uncool" to like school :P Okay okay; i'll stop NOW and talk about going to caro after visiting! When we(Mel, Kavii + I ; Amy didn't feel like going) bussed it to caro, we fully legged it to the food court cause we were STARVINGG. I had a meatball sub from subwayy (Y) While we were buying our food Rach + Brandon met up with us. Then we went to Myer to look for dresses for Rach. I found the dress that she liked the most/brought (: To be honest; I would not have spent that much money on that dress. It was $70 and you could have easily found a similar one at Valley Girl or Cotton On for like $20-25 and it wasn't even like "HOT! HOT! HOT! I MUST HAVE IT" kind of dress. But hey; it's not my money!

Then we treked to Kmart to look for books and shoes; nothing was brought. So we headed to Dymocks and then Smiggle and were all very buggered so we took the bus homee (:
